These clients were in the process of renovating and upgrading a lovely house which was surrounded on all sides by a large garden. For their front garden they wanted to create a low maintenance flowering shrub and ornamental grass border that included spring bulbs around a 5m circular pond. Living in St. Andrew’s and therefore near to the coast, the plants would have to cope with salt laden winds but would also need to fit into a garden which had a woodland feel to it. The border was to act as a visual screen with plants nearest the road to grow to around 2 metres in height.
"As part of a redesign of our half acre garden, Lisa designed a large bed which I stipulated should be flowering shrubs and grasses and should provide colour and interest all year round. She did a couple of designs and she was happy to change some plants that are not my favourites before we firmed up on a planting scheme. The bed was planted three years ago and has constantly looked good. The colours are great, the placing of plants works well and it is easy to maintain. Lisa was very good to work with, was aware of our budget and the whole process was enjoyable."
