Victorian back courtyard garden

A split level garden with a bare and dark, basement courtyard area. A flight of stone steps leads to the raised section - mostly lawn with a few shrubs. The client wanted an attractive outlook from her study window onto a seating area with lawn, planting and a shed in the upper garden. The planting was to be different shades of green with pale white and pink flowers in the main as the light in the garden gave these a translucent quality which looked beautiful in the garden.

Plants used in this design:

Viola cornuta ‘Victoria’s Blush’ | Actaea simplex ‘Brunette’ | Aconitum arendsii | Sedum ‘Frosty Morn’

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL...

"Lisa designed, project-managed and planted my garden, transforming it into a lovely space to look at and to enjoy being in. The final result surpassed what I thought was possible both for the space and my budget. I had confidence in Lisa from the start of the project and she kept me advised and informed all along. I am very happy to recommend her and the landscape contractor she worked with."
