These clients have a lovely large garden which needed two long empty borders filled with plants to give year round colour and structure. As time went on they added a greenhouse and studio to the garden which created the need for more planting to frame these structures and to unify the garden as a whole.
"Initially I asked Lisa to advise on the replanting of two rather neglected herbaceous borders. She was very careful to ask our preference for style and colour before coming up with a planting plan which would be appropriate for the windy conditions in our East Lothian garden. We have moved a few things around since then after two very cold winters and a particularly wet summer. Everything is now flourishing and we have moved on to other areas of the garden, in particular a dark and neglected corner which is now glowing with green or variegated foliage and white flowers year round. I couldn’t be more pleased as we await the results of a generous bulb planting last autumn and look forward to more inspiration for the summer."
